Spice Cake Designer Series Paper

October 13, 2011

WOW…this paper is my absolute favorite Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! to date!  I’ve been a demonstrator for just over 2 1/2  years and this has to be my all time FAVORITE paper!  Below are a couple of cards featuring this DSP.  Consider signing up for the Fall Wreath Class which also highlights this great paper.

Vintage Vogue is in Vogue!

January 23, 2010

Ok, I think everyone is saying that!  Every demonstrator’s blog that I’ve visited who talks about Vintage Vogue says that it’s “in vogue”!  I guess that means it truly is!

Vintage Vogue is one set in the Occasions Mini catalog that I just LOVE!  You can create so many different looks with it because there are so many pieces that you can use together or separately.  Here’s a sample inspired by my upline Claire.

Stamps: Vintage Vogue (occasions mini catalog)
Paper: Not Quite Navy, Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Close to Cocoa
Other: Chocolate Chip 5/8 grosgrain ribbon, sponges

Emboss Resist Results #2

July 31, 2009

Thanks for checking back again for the second of three emboss resist results!  Here’s the swatch I worked on this week:

I LOVE mellow moss!  It is such a soft, soothing color.   Two down, one to go!  The Apricot Appeal is the last swatch to make it onto a card…soon!

What do you think of the Mellow Moss resist card?

Stamps: Stampers Anonymous, SU Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: mellow moss and chocolate chip
Paper: very vanilla, mellow moss, mellow moss dsp (hostess level 1)
Other: word window punch, vintage brads

This is a great guy’s birthday card.  I don’t know why but using patterned paper is a challenge for me!  I think I just often forget about the beautiful patterned papers, so they never make it onto my cards.

Emboss Resist

July 22, 2009

I visited my friend Kriss this week to learn from the expert how to use the emboss resist technique.  Here are a few swatches that we created…they are pretty good…but with practice, I’ll improve this technique!

Kriss is waiting to see what I’ll create with these swatches…now there’s a challenge!  (for me at least)  Check back soon to see the results.
